Garfield

In 2021, Garfield was seemingly everywhere: starring opposite Oscar winner Jessica Chastain in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye,” giving an Academy Award-nominated performance in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical “Tick, Tick… Boom!” and reprising his role as Peter Parker with Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire in the $1.9 billion-grossing “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” He was a darling of the 2022 awards season, earning critical acclaim for television and film alike, including his first Emmy nomination for his performance as a Mormon police detective sent into a spiritual crisis in the Hulu limited series “Under the Banner of Heaven.” Garfield is taking a break from acting (what he has called a “holiday”), but he’ll be back, having signed on to play Richard Branson in “Hot Air,” a limited series about the billionaire entrepreneur.
