Andrew Garfield Maybe, Sort of, Wants to Play Harry Styles in a Movie

He's already got the accent and man bun down.

In case you haven't scanned the internet recently, Andrew Garfield doesn't look the same as you may remember. Spider-Man's clean shaven look is long gone and scruffy, mustache man-bun Andrew has arrived. In the rare few times he stepped out this summer (with Emma Stone and without) his new, not-so-kempt look caught everyone's attention, particularly for his uncanny resemblance to One Direction's resident hair wizard Harry Styles.

In a recent interview with MTV, Andrew got some friendly heat from the press for his beauty transformation when they jokingly asked if he actually grew out his locks for the best reason ever: To play Harry Styles in a new biopic. Andrew's answer was of course music to ours ears. "I'm petitioning," the actor said jokingly. "I'm campaigning, subliminally. Just, like... is his life full and rich enough to have a biopic done about it yet? It's time. He's what, 21? It's time. You've got me," said Andrew.

With Andrew on board to play the British rocker the only thing left is for there to actually be a Harry Styles biopic, which brings us back to Andrew's question: Isn't it time? There is certainly enough 1D drama to last at least a few sequels and we have no doubt Andrew could pull off Harry's quiet, yet charming, demeanor.

Only catch is someone better make the movie fast. Apparently Andrew is not a fan of his silky strands that he had to grow out for an actual movie role earlier this year.

“I hate [the bun],” he continued to share. “I absolutely hate it. Hair is hair, it’s fine — I don’t have anything against hair specifically. It’s more the furor that surrounds it… it’s stupid. But I had to grow my hair out for a film that I did recently, and I haven’t cut it."

Someone please make this film quick. We'd be forever grateful.
